QA Engineer (Team Lead) – Manufacturing
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring product compliance with quality, customer and regulatory standards by developing quality assurance process, conducting inspections, analysing data and driving continuous improvement in production and operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
• Developing and implementing quality systems, ensuring integration into daily operations and strategic goals.
• Leading and communicating quality objectives through meetings, training and reports.
• Acting as a liaison between management and the team, ensuring clear directives and accountability.
Quality Assurance & Control
• Overseeing the Quality Department, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and regulatory standards.
• Establishing and managing quality control procedures, audits and compliance initiatives.
• Conducting rood cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring continuous quality improvement.
• Working with R&D to develop and testing quality standards for components and products.
• Implementing Lean methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Supplier and Customer Engagement
• Collaborating with suppliers to monitor and maintain quality of incoming materials.
• Partnering with Sales and Marketing to align products with customer expectations.
• Managing customer complaints, initiating corrective actions, and driving satisfaction.
Compliance and Documentation
• Maintaining quality documentation, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Driving digital transformation within the Quality Department for efficiency and accuracy.
Process Improvement & Training
• Identifying inefficiencies and spearheading Lean Manufacturing projects to enhance quality and reduce waste.
• Developing and conducting quality training programs to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
• Leading quality-related meetings, ensuring alignment across teams.
General Responsibilities
• Communicating quality objectives weekly and monthly across the organisation.
• Overseeing document control department budget, and compliance reporting.
• Implementing and upholding 5S housekeeping and safety standards.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, with a relevant Quality Management qualification.
• Management certification is advantageous.
• Requires 5-10 years in high-volume manufacturing, ISO 9001 certification, and expertise in quality tools (8D, FMEA, SPC, CAPA).
• Experience in project management, team leadership, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Strong IT proficiency (MS Office, SAP) and SHE Management knowledge are beneficial.
