As a Technical Training Specialist, you will work with sales, service, and VARs to build and coordinate a continual learning program that will keep our technicians and sales personnel (internal and external) current and knowledgeable as it relates to our product’s capabilities and how to maintain/service in the field with speed and effectiveness. You will also be expected to monitor/assist with challenging or recurring issues as a means of staying current on what is happening on live deployments as well as being relief valve for an already overwhelmed technical support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, measure and improve a national product and technical training program and certification process.
- Curriculum development for both new hires (on-boarding) and existing technical staff based on analysis of effectiveness.
- Conduct in-person classroom, virtual, and field OJT training sessions using various methods and technologies.
- Manage training schedules and coordinate with other subject matter experts to assist with training.
- Stay current on new products, industry standards, and current trends in service needs by monitoring and often assisting with live service calls.
- Maintain accurate training records and constant analysis of effectiveness all facets of the training program.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the parking industry.
- Extensive field related trouble shooting experience.
- Technical experience and understanding of a multidisciplinary system.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with clients.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Experience in PARCS sales is a plus.
